Saturday Evening Post

Welcome to the Saturday Evening Post, a place for me to share news-worthy information that I found throughout the week. I'm not one for spoilers so, I will be staying away from anything like that but check it out and if you have any news to share, drop a comment.  Saturday Evening Post coming at you after the break... but first let me escape from reality.

Kurt Russel is joining the "Django Unchained" cast, replacing Kevin Costner as Ace, a pretty bad dude who oversees Leonardo DiCaprio's character's slave plantation. I'm disappointed Costner won't be taking this part any longer but we will get to see him in "Man of Steel" as Pa Kent - not a bad trade-off. I loved Kurt Russel in "Death Proof" and could see him rocking out this role.  With such a star-studded cast and Quentin Tarantino at the helm, Django is shaping up to be a must see - fan of the originals or not.

"Chuck" fans will be waiting an extra week for the final season premier.  Seems NBC wants a two night Halloween extravaganza, with Thursday night's lineup featuring Halloween-themed episodes, followed by Friday night's "Chuck" and the premier of "Grimm".  Anyone giving "Grimm" a shot, even in its Friday night death slot?

In more "Chuck" news, looks like the great Stan Lee (!!!) will be having a guest appearance this season.  This guy loves attention more than Angelina Jolie loves Ethiopian kids but then again, who doesn't love Stan Lee - that old crazy bastard.

George Harrison is living in a material world and he is a material girl... or boy (don't let the hair confuse you).  HBO will be airing a documentary about Harrison directed by Martin Scorsese, entitled George Harrison: Living in a Material World.  Part 1 airing Wed. Oct. 5 followed by Part 2 Thurs. Oct. 6 both at 9pm. Check it out!

Fans of Jason Lee will have a reason to give "Up All Night" another chance, as he will be guest staring some time in November.  I'm sure he won't be giving out "chocolate covered pretzels" but Lee always brings something good to the table.

And now, I'll leave you with something Awesome.
